The dropout rate in secondary level in India is the highest at 17%. Male students drop out for work as they have to support their family financially, while female students quit school to help their family with domestic activities or they get married early and are not aware of the importance of higher education (as in most cases their mothers have never been in a school). A lot of the time, their potential/talent is being buried under the tremendous psychological pressure they go through. We want to support such children and help them dream big and achieve bigger goals in life by educating/counseling their parents and family members.
